Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder might want to beat Victor Wembanyama every chance he gets but that doesn’t mean these two stars have a “beef.”

Sitting down on the “Podcast P” show with Paul George, Holmgren stated that he doesn’t hold anything against Wembanyama even though they both battled hard against each other last season.

It sounds like Holmgren actually respects Wembanyama and, like others, is blown away by his skills.

When last season started, everyone was wondering who would win Rookie of the Year.

Would it be Wembayama, the much-hyped number one draft pick, or Holmgren, who sadly missed his first season due to injury?

Surprising some fans, Holmgren actually gave Wembanyama stiff competition and it looked like a real race for a while.

When the two met on the court, it was clear they both had supreme talent and also had similar play styles.

But in the end, Wembanayama easily beat Holmgren in the Rookie of the Year race.

Many people expect these two to have a rivalry in the years ahead.

That’s partly because of their similar builds and styles and their respective places in the draft.

Despite what many fans think, these two don’t actually have a beef and are simply competitors who want to win.

This next season will be very interesting for both Wembanyama and Holmgren.

Wembanyama will try to build upon his amazing rookie year and Holmgren will attempt to help his team become the best in the West again.

A lot is on the line for both stars and they will meet multiple times on the hardwood.

Who will have the better season?
