There were many highlights during Damian Lillard’s years with the Portland Trail Blazers but the star point guard admits some were better than the rest.
On the latest episode of the “Club 520” podcast, per SBWells on X, Lillard said his favorite clutch, game-winning bucket was the one he scored against the Oklahoma City Thunder in April of 2019.
When speaking about this amazing three-pointer, Lillard made it clear that it was an out-of-body experience.
He also added that he didn’t even realize just how impressive the shot was until much later when he finally got to his phone and saw the reactions.

It’s a moment that will live forever in Trail Blazers history.
The Blazers were up 3-1 in the playoff series against the Thunder but the game was tied with only seconds left.
Lillard, guarded by Paul George, was going to call for a screen so he could slip by.
But something inside of him told him to take the shot and, when he did, it easily found the basket.
The Portland crowd, understandably, went wild, and the Blazers moved on to the next round.
Everything about this shot summed up what made Lillard so special because it was a result of pure skill, confidence, and a dash of personality.
At that moment, the Blazers secured their spot in the next round and an internet meme was born.
However, Lillard admitted that he doesn’t remember giving the cold look he showed cameras because he was so in the zone.
Looking back at it now, this is Lillard’s favorite game-winner from his time in Portland.
But it was such a whirlwind experience that his brain couldn’t handle it at the moment.
