Will this be the season that the Miami Heat become a true force in the Eastern Conference again?
That will be tough, especially with the competition they have, but it’s possible, especially if Jimmy Butler is playing well.
Speaking on the latest episode of “The Hoop Collective,” Brian Windhorst predicted that Butler will be highly motivated in 2024-25.
He thinks the six-time All-Star will be in “killer mode” to try and prove himself to the Miami Heat and the rest of the league.
Windhorst admitted that Butler is at times inconsistent.
He is referred to as “Playoff Jimmy” but Butler can be hot and cold throughout the regular season.
Last year, he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.
The Heat struggled a lot last season but many fans predicted they’d get into good shape when the playoffs began.
Unfortunately, they weren’t able to get it together and Butler got hurt, leaving them in a very bad position.
They ultimately didn’t stand a chance against the Boston Celtics and went home early.
Windhorst believes that the last season will influence the upcoming one and Butler wants to send a message.
Even after 13 years, he believes he’s still one of the best stars in the league and can outplay others.
Over the last few months, there have been many questions about Butler and his future with the Heat.
There has been speculation of him moving to another team if things don’t get better in Miami soon.
So, will this be a great season for the Heat or will it be Butler’s last with the team?
