While the Buffalo Bills offense looks fairly different his season, they still have a mainstay in Josh Allen at quarterback.
The depth behind him, however, has become a question mark.
In March, the Bills signed Mitchell Trubisky to serve as Allen’s backup, but he injured his knee against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a preseason game and will be out for a little while.
With backup Shane Buechele suffering a neck injury recently, Buffalo needed to go out and get another quarterback rather quickly in order to get ready for its final preseason game.
According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Buffalo is signing Anthony Brown, a quarterback who last played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2022.

Brown went undrafted in 2022 after two years at the University of Oregon and three years before that at Boston College.
He played two games for the Ravens, starting one, and threw for 302 yards while completing 22 of 49 pass attempts.
Last summer, the Ravens waived him, and the Las Vegas Raiders signed him in January, only to waive him recently.
Right now, the Bills’ only other healthy QB is Ben DiNucci, a former seventh-round draft pick who has played just three games in the NFL, all in 2020 for the Dallas Cowboys.
He spent 2023 with the Seattle Sea Dragons of the now-defunct XFL and as a member of the Denver Broncos’ practice squad.
In his final season at James Madison University, DiNucci threw for 3,441 yards and 29 touchdowns, and he led his team to the NCAA FCS Championship Game, where it lost to North Dakota State University.
