The Buffalo Bills could be looking at a very complicated season.
They already lost Chase Claypool, one of their prime reinforcements, for the season.
Now, according to HC Sean McDermott, five key players could also be out for an extended period of time.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, QB Mitch Trubisky (knee), WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (neck), and TE Quintin Morris (shoulder) are sidelined right now.
As for those considered to be week to week, we find S Damar Hamlin (hamstring) and WR Curtis Samuel (turf toe).

Of all of them, perhaps only Trubisky and Morris are expendable, but the rest could be significant absences.
Hamlin was expected to re-establish himself as a key contributor on defense, while Valdes-Scantling and Samuel were in line to compete for an expanded role in the passing game, given the lack of reliable options for Josh Allen.
As of now, only TE Dalton Kincaid and WR Keon Coleman look like locks to handle the bulk of the passing game, whereas RB James Cook should be in sole possession of the running game.
All things considered, given the absences they went through in the offseason, it’s hard to put this Bills team in the same tier as those from the previous couple of years.
Some experts believe this Bills team won’t even be able to make the playoffs, especially with the New York Jets also being a strong player in the AFC East Division.
Allen is obviously one of the best quarterbacks in the game, but there’s only so much anybody can do with a roster like this.
