For years, New York Jets coaches, decision-makers, and fans hoped that Mekhi Becton could get things together.
His physical traits were more than remarkable, and he had the potential to be one of the most imposing and dominant physical forces in the entire league.
However, constant injuries kept him on the shelf, up to the point where the team pretty much gave up on him.
That’s why the Philadelphia Eagles sounded off the alarms on Sunday when the massive offensive lineman left practice with an apparent lower leg injury.
Now, a clip shared on Twitter by Andrew DiCecco reveals that it may have just been a scare, as he was back on the field practicing with his teammates.

Becton has spent the entire summer trying to switch positions.
He’s reportedly in line to be named the starting right guard for the Eagles, creating the ultimate human wall alongside Lane Johnson.
Of course, there will always be major injury concerns with a player like Becton, but he’s still young, and the talent is most definitely there.
Hopefully, the former first-round pick will finally be able to stay healthy and establish himself in the league.
The Eagles have one of the best and most physical offensive lines in the game, and adding a unit of a human being like Becton would only make things even easier for Jalen Hurts and the running game.
Considering that, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see them err on the side of caution and keep him on the sidelines for the preseason finale.
