The New York Jets aren’t here to mess around this time.
The team knows there’s a lot at stake next season, and as such, they must be prepared and in top shape for when things actually count.
That’s why head coach Robert Saleh and his coaching staff have picked up the intensity from day one, making life tough for the players from the very start of training camp.
When asked about that, Aaron Rodgers admitted that it’s been very intense.
The Hall of Famer quarterback claimed that this training camp has been significantly harder than last year’s, and he also admitted it’s probably the hardest he’s been through over the last seven or eight years of his career (via Paul Andrew Esden Jr.).
Aaron Rodgers revealed that this #JetsCamp ‘is much harder’ than last year & ‘maybe the hardest in the last seven or eight of my career.’

Then again, it’s not like he’s complaining.
For starters, he claimed that he was aware of that before the start of training camp because the coaching staff had let him know, and he believes this has actually been positive for them.
Saleh could lose his job if the Jets don’t go the distance next season, and so could GM Joe Douglas and OC Nathaniel Hackett.
As for Rodgers, he could retire, walk away, or sign a new short-term deal, depending on how things pan out in the front office.
Whatever the case, the fact of the matter is that, unless they find themselves a new franchise-caliber quarterback, this Super Bowl window could close very soon.
That’s why every single rep counts, and why they cannot waste a single second of preparation.
