Jaylen Brown was a vital part of the Boston Celtics winning an NBA championship months ago and he earned his first Finals MVP trophy.
But he’s ready to move on to the new season and face the challenges ahead.
Speaking to NBC Sports, Brown said that last year was amazing but it’s time to look forward.
He said, “Now we got the target on our back. Everybody’s trying to come after us and I’m like, ‘Come on.’”

Brown doesn’t sound a little bit afraid of the other teams that will be trying to take the Celtics down.
In fact, he is very ready to see what they can throw at him.
There is no doubt that the rest of the NBA teams have their targets set on the Celtics.
Now that they are champions, everyone else wants to be the ones to get the best of Boston.
But that will be easier said than done.
Boston didn’t make many alterations this summer but they didn’t have to because they already had a championship-caliber roster.
However, they might be without Kristaps Porzingis at the start of the season as he recovers from injury and that could be troubling for them.
But even without Porzingis, they are the favorites to win the East and return to the Finals.
With that being said, many other teams in their conference have improved during the offseason and competition will be much tougher in 2024-25.
Brown isn’t afraid.
He’s ready and excited to get started with his team’s quest for a second championship ring.
