As NFL teams move through training camp and the preseason, roster moves continue to usually be made in an effort to round out each roster.
The Arizona Cardinals are one of the teams that have made a couple of recent moves as they prepare for their final preseason game.
According to the Cardinals’ social media page, they made the move to sign tight end Sage Surratt and release wide receiver Daniel Arias.

A former All-ACC performer at Wake Forest, Surratt went undrafted in 2021 and has bounced around multiple teams and multiple leagues.
He spent some time on the practice squad of the Detroit Lions in 2021 before becoming a USFL champion with the Birmingham Stallions.
Later on, he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in the Summer of 2022 before joining the New Orleans Breakers and Memphis Showboats of the UFL.
Now, he has another opportunity to play in the NFL with Arizona this preseason.
With Daniel Arias, it simply wasn’t working out for the former Colorado Buffalo.
After starting his career with Arizona as an undrafted rookie in 2023, he bounced over to the Kansas City Chiefs before going back to Arizona that same season.
He was never elevated to the team’s gameday roster and is now going to look for a new opportunity elsewhere.
It makes sense that Arizona would swap out a pass-catcher for another pass-catcher.
Keep in mind that the team did lose veteran tight end Zach Ertz after last season and might be looking to add to the position group.
