The Dallas Cowboys are dealing with the contract situations of Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott, all of whom are looking for sizable extensions, but in the meantime, they also have some real holes in their roster.
They could use some help in their front seven, especially after some key players left this offseason as free agents.
To address that, NFL insider Mike Garafolo is reporting the Cowboys are poised to sign veteran defensive tackle Linval Joseph.

The 35-year-old is entering his 15th NFL season and played seven games for the Buffalo Bills in 2023.
His best years came with the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 to 2019, when he made two straight Pro Bowls and appeared in the playoffs three times.
While in Minnesota, Joseph played under head coach Mike Zimmer, who is now the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator, replacing Dan Quinn, who this offseason was hired as head coach of the Washington Commanders.
In the past two seasons, Joseph has appeared in just 15 games, and thus Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy may not call on him to play as large a role as he did with Minnesota several years ago.
The Dallas defense looked dominant at times last season, and early in the schedule, some felt it could become one of the best the NFL had ever seen.
But it got exposed in the wild-card round of the playoffs when the Green Bay Packers built a 27-0 first-half lead and put Dallas away, 48-32.
Patching up that defense will be essential to the Cowboys’ chances of finally reaching the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 1995 season.
