The San Francisco 49ers have gone through a tumultuous offseason, especially for a team that made it to the Super Bowl last year.
While they were unable to finish the job in the big game, the 49ers showed that they will be a force in this league, especially in the NFC, for the foreseeable future.
One of the things that makes the 49ers such a good team is the amount of star players they have on the roster.
They have a Pro Bowl-caliber player in nearly every positional group, which helps them dominate matchups every game.
While having a lot of superstars can be a great thing, it can also be frustrating.
The 49ers are in the midst of two major contract disputes, as Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams are both frustrated with the way things are going.
Kyle Shanahan provided a recent update to both situations, as reporter Cam Inman recently highlighted on Twitter.
While Shanahan wasn’t too confident in Aiyuk’s deal, he did have more positivity about Williams’.
As he said abut Williams, “I’ve had some contact with him. Been good talking to him. We’re negotiating hard. Hopefully, it’s getting close.”

On Aiyuk: No new updates. Sorry to keep being boring about that. Wish I was saying something different, nothing has changed
On Trent Williams: I’ve had some contact w/ him. Been good talking to him. We’re negotiating hard. Hopefully it’s getting close

This should give 49ers fans confidence, especially since he spoke in more positive terms when discussing Williams.
Williams is one of the best offensive linemen in the league, and perhaps, will make it to the Hall of Fame one day.
He has an immeasurable impact on this team and has been instrumental in Brock Purdy’s growth.
Will both sides agree to a deal before the season starts?
