When players retire from the NFL, it can be difficult to know what to do in their everyday lives.
For these athletes, training has been a massive part of their lives for many years, and when they no longer have that mindset, it can be tough for them to find purpose.
Some athletes go back to the sidelines and take up coaching, others jump into the broadcasting booth, but many leave the sport entirely to pursue a new venture altogether.
For Steve Beuerlein, a former quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, broadcasting and color commentating seems to be where he landed.
As highlighted in a recent press release from Compass Media Networks, Beuerlein is the newest color analyst for the Dallas Cowboys.
Beuerlein played in the NFL for 14 years, suiting up for six different teams throughout his tenure in the league.
He’s no stranger to the spotlight, and he won the Super Bowl as a member of the Cowboys.
It will be interesting to see what his personality is like as a color analyst for the Cowboys.
He does have experience as an analyst from his time working at CBS, calling both NFL and college games.
Beuerlein likely has a lot to offer fans from his time in the league, and it will be interesting to see how he is received in Dallas.
The Cowboys have a big season in front of them, especially considering their first-round playoff exit in 2023.
Can they turn the tides and become contenders this year?
