The Detroit Lions have themselves a singer in their running back room.
Whether that can help them on the field remains to be seen, but fourth-round rookie Sione Vaki seems to be a player who brings a lot of energy to the locker room.
Yes, the former All-Pac-12 performer is a talented back, but he also has a great singing voice.
In a recent presser, Vaki showed off some of his pipes to the Detroit media.
Head coach Dan Campbell described the performance afterward as “pretty phenomenal.”

Let’s just say that his voice has gained the attention of a lot of NFL fans.
I like him already, 1. Song choice is EPIC. 2. Boy got the voice of an angel

In order for NFL teams to be good and dangerous, they need positive vibes and positive players in the locker room, along with the great ones.
Vaki appears to be one of those players who may be able to sprinkle in the good vibes here or there with his exceptional voice.
A two-way player at the University of Utah, Vaki showed the ability in his college career to impact the game as a runner and as a defensive back.
The Lions appear to be quite set at the running back position with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery leading the way.
Both recorded over 1,100 scrimmage yards and 10+ total touchdowns last season en route to helping the Lions reach the NFC Championship Game.
However, Vaki could be a nice role player who could come in and spell both every once in a while.
His defensive and special teams abilities could also play a role down the stretch if need be.
But if nothing else, his voice could be a real inspiring tool for Campbell and Co. as they look to motivate themselves to possibly go try and win a Super Bowl.
