Green Bay Packers franchise quarterback Jordan Love, now under contract for the foreseeable future, is about to start his second regular season as the team’s full-time starter.
However, the team still has one more preseason game to go before they can officially start preparing for the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.
Green Bay is currently hosting the Baltimore Ravens for joint practices, and Love was recently asked if he thinks he needs to play in the final preseason game.
“Having the two joint practices helped a lot…I like where we’re at offensively, and I think we’re ready to go…Matt hasn’t decided on (Love playing in the preseason finale),” Love said in front of the Green Bay media.
Jordan Love doesn’t believe he needs any more preseason work to be ready for Week 1. That doesn’t mean he’s sitting out Saturday’s finale. So to be determined.

There are both positives and negatives to playing in the preseason, especially in the third and final preseason game.
For an established starter like Love, who feels good about where he and the offense are at, perhaps sitting him and the starters could be the move from head coach Matt LaFleur.
The starters did play in the first preseason game against the Cleveland Browns and have gotten plenty of action in joint practices with the Denver Broncos and now with the Baltimore Ravens.
The negative would be to send the starters out there and they find no success or worse, an injury is suffered.
LaFleur has dealt with this kind of scenario before with former quarterback Aaron Rodgers and given his track record on Lombardi Avenue so far, it might be hard to argue with what he decides.
