The biggest question surrounding the Los Angeles Chargers right now is when quarterback Justin Herbert will return to game action.
He spent a couple of weeks in a walking boot after being diagnosed with a plantar fascia ailment, and just a few days ago, the boot came off and he returned to practice.
The Chargers will play their third and final preseason game of this summer on Sunday when they visit the Dallas Cowboys, and unfortunately, fans will have to wait to see No. 10 in action.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh said that backup QB Easton Stick will once again start on Sunday, with Luis Perez backing him up, per Alex Insdorf.

There has been a general sense of optimism and hope ever since the Chargers hired Harbaugh this offseason, but now it is all about getting to work and translating those good vibes into results.
The team has some definite roster holes, especially at wide receiver, but in Herbert, they have one of the NFL’s better signal-callers.
Herbert had an off year in 2023, but he still managed to throw for 3,134 yards and 20 touchdowns against seven interceptions in 13 games.
This season will likely be more about Harbaugh implementing his proven winning program and remaking L.A. into his own image rather than winning a lot of games or even making the playoffs.
Still, that will be a refreshing change from the Chargers teams in past years that sometimes seemed to lack a soul, not to mention enough good fortune to reach their potential.
