The Green Bay Packers have high expectations for the 2024 season after the way their 2023 season wrapped up.
After starting 3-6, they ripped off six wins in their final eight regular season games, then they upset the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round of the playoffs and held a late lead over the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round before falling short.
While their offense looks loaded with talent, there could be some minor question marks on the defensive side of the football.
On Thursday, they announced on their official Twitter account that they have signed defensive lineman Keonte Schad.

Schad started his college football career at Ellsworth Community College before moving on to the University of Minnesota and Oregon State University.
While at Oregon State, he was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention.
He went undrafted in 2022 and ended up with the New Orleans Breakers of the now-defunct United States Football League (USFL) in 2023, where he was second in the league with 7.5 sacks.
In 2024, Schad went to the Houston Roughnecks of the United Football League (UFL), where he had 19 tackles, one tackle for loss and 0.5 sacks.
Last year, Green Bay had some trouble stopping the run — they were 28th in rushing yards allowed, and in that playoff loss to the 49ers, they allowed Christian McCaffrey to go off in the second half and finish with 98 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Continued growth from quarterback Jordan Love and their young, promising wide receivers may not be enough for them — they will likely also need continued growth from their defense in order to meet the high expectations that surround them.
