It’s no secret that the Denver Broncos were looking for a new quarterback after the 2023 season.

They quickly moved on from Russell Wilson after their two-year experiment with him went south.

Wilson was expected to help turn the team around, but unfortunately, he couldn’t deliver the results they hoped for.

The team might have been frustrated with Wilson’s performance during his time with the team, but they couldn’t stew in the wake of him leaving.

While they could have pivoted to a free agent, they decided to look to the draft for their newest quarterback, selecting Bo Nix.

Nix was a polarizing prospect when he entered the draft, but it was clear that the Broncos were excited to take a chance on him.

He has looked better than anticipated to this point, and the team was left with no choice but to give him the starting job.

Peyton Manning was recently interviewed on 9 News Sports, where he spoke about Nix and what he means to the future of the organization.

As shared by Zac Stevens on Twitter, Manning said, “He’s picked up the system quickly,” adding, “You knew his experience, his maturity would be an advantage for him.”

As Manning pointed out, Nix was an older prospect and will enter the NFL at 24 years old.

He played in college for five years, giving him valuable time to grow and develop his skills to hopefully translate them to the league.

It will be interesting to see how Nix performs this year, and if he can help turn the Broncos around as well as they believe he can.
