The NFL season is officially less than two weeks away.
The final week of the preseason is officially wrapping up, leaving teams with limited time to make their final roster decisions.
Many teams will have difficult decisions ahead of them, but the San Francisco 49ers are in one of the toughest positions.
Brandon Aiyuk is still waiting to get a contract extension and remains adamant that he wants to be traded.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan hasn’t said anything definitive publically, but the team is desperately trying to hold on to the young budding superstar receiver.
Aiyuk has shown a lot in his first few years in the league, and if he does leave the 49ers, he would be a great asset for any quarterback.
With the news of Aiyuk being potentially interested in joining the Washington Commanders, a fan, recently put together a montage that honors this potential pairing.
At one point, Daniels called Aiyuk his “dream teammate,” and there is also a video of Aiyuk giving Daniels a lot of praise when he was in college.

It’s clear that these two have an established rapport already, so it wouldn’t be out of the question for them to want to play together.
Of course, the 49ers still would have to agree to a trade, and they’ve made it clear that they would like to avoid that if at all possible.
The Commanders did make a surprising move with the Philadelphia Eagles this week, trading away Jahan Dotson, a former first-round pick.
Was that a move to make space on the roster for Aiyuk?
