It’s hard to ignore how dominant Tom Brady was during his NFL tenure.
Not only did he win seven Super Bowls, but Brady set several other records that many analysts believe will never be touched.
Yes, Brady was a fantastic player throughout his career, but the most impressive part about his time in the league was his longevity.
It is rare for players to suit up into their 40s, and it’s especially rare for them to be impactful when they are on the field.
However, Brady was able to find that balance each season, and his mentality was a big reason for his success.
He talked about this at length in a recent appearance on the Roommates Show, where he was asked about how he stayed sharp throughout his career.
“Every year, you’re starting at the same spot as everybody else. And if you don’t work hard to improve, they’re all going to catch you,” Brady said.

One of the things Brady mentioned, was that in the NFL, teams don’t let players rest on their laurels.
He couldn’t sit back and relax in the offseason just because he had won a Super Bowl in the past.
If Brady wanted to play for another year, if he wanted to stay at the top of his game, he needed to make sure he was in peak shape in every way.
He kept that strong mentality throughout his entire career, which is why the New England Patriots were as good as they were.
