Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Anthony Richardson had an interesting performance in the team’s final preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals last night.
He went 8 of 14 passing for 86 yards and a touchdown.
However, he also threw a pick-six and fumbled once.
In the postgame presser, Richardson assessed his performance.
“Uh, decent. Got two touchdowns. Nah, I’m joking…The interception, that was a tough one…the fumble, they preach two hands on the ball in the pocket,” Richardson said in front of the Indianapolis media.
I asked #Colts QB Anthony Richardson how he would assess his performance tonight:
“Uh, decent. Got two touchdowns. Nah, I’m joking.”

If Richardson makes the decisions that he made last night outside of the touchdown, the Colts could be in for a disappointing 2024.
The former Florida Gator only played in four games last season before going down with a shoulder injury.
However, he has flashed his potential over his brief career and is looking to prove that he can lead the Colts forward.
On paper, Indy could surprise fans.
They nearly did last year when former backup Gardner Minshew almost took them to an AFC South title.
With Richardson back healthy and with a couple of pieces that the team added this offseason, this team has the chance to be a lot better.
But, the starting quarterback’s job includes not turning the ball over.
Richardson has shown that he is still battling the turnover demons a little, which is to be expected from a young player.
But if he can’t get those issues corrected, a veteran by the name of Joe Flacco is waiting on the bench just in case.
