The relationship between a couple of Packer legends is stronger than ever.
Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre recently appeared on New York Sports Radio to chat about what he thinks his old teammate in Aaron Rodgers can do and how good the Jets can be in 2024.
“If Aaron’s healthy, I expect what everyone else expects, that he leads that team to potentially a championship…There is probably not a better playmaker at quarterback starting in the league right now,” Favre said on WFAN660.
Brett Favre told me there’s not a better playmaker at the QB position in the NFL right now than Aaron Rodgers and he expects @AaronRodgers12 to compete for a Super Bowl with the Jets this season. @InfSportsNet @WFAN660 @ConcussedFilm @BrettFavre

Favre, a teammate of Rodgers for three seasons in Green Bay (2005-2007), might be onto something with what he is saying about Rodgers and Gang Green.
If healthy, it is hard to find a better signal-caller in the sport.
The last time Rodgers was fully healthy, he won back-to-back MVPs in Green Bay (2020-2021).
Now, other than the 2010 season, he has never had an elite defense like the one he has with him in New York right now.
This defense, led by All-Pro and Pro Bowl players such as cornerback Sauce Gardner, linebackers C.J. Mosely and Quincy Williams, as well as defensive linemen Quinnen Williams and Jermaine Johnson, is one of the most complete units in the entire league.
If the four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion can end up being what he was at the end of his time in Green Bay, the Jets might be in for a magical 2024 season.
Remember, with incompetent quarterback play last season, the Jets went 7-10, not 2-15.
It all hinges on the health of No. 8.
