Heading into the 2023 NFL season, the Cincinnati Bengals had high hopes of being one of the best teams in the league once again, with superstar quarterback Joe Burrow leading the way.
Unfortunately for Cincinnati, Burrow went down with a concerning calf strain during training camp, and everything seemed to go downhill from there as he ended up returning but then suffered a wrist injury that required season-ending surgery, derailing any chance of competing for a title.
Ultimately, the Bengals finished with a winning record, but it was nowhere near enough to be considered a force to be reckoned with in the AFC or secure a spot in the NFL playoffs.
Fortunately, the Bengals have a chance to bounce back with a vengeance during this upcoming season with Burrow healthy and determined to right the ship in Cincinnati.
Ahead of the start of the 2024 NFL season, the Bengals, like every team in the league, have to cut down their roster, and they made some moves to get closer to doing that with 11 players getting waived, according to the team on X.
