With the final roster cuts just around the corner, the Chicago Bears have made some moves.
As pointed out by Bears insider Courtney Cronin on Twitter, the team has officially placed three players on Injured Reserve (IR).
Following the preseason finale vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, the Bears placed WR Nsimba Webster (groin), safety Douglas Coleman III (neck), and rookie RB Ian Wheeler (ACL) on IR.

Coleman gave everybody a major scare during Thursday’s game, as he was put on a stretcher after making a tackle.
He even had to be taken to the hospital for further evaluation, but he was released shortly after.
Webster had excelled with three receptions and 63 yards in the first quarter of the game alone, but he sustained a groin injury.
As for Wheeler, he had recently become a fan favorite after a heartwarming story on Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears, where he explained his decision to pursue his NFL dream instead of attending medical school.
There’s a lot at stake next season, and Matt Eberflus’ staff will have its work cut out for them to make sure they get the roster right.
