It may have taken more time than expected, but we might finally get to watch the Trevor Lawrence all NFL fans were waiting for.
The Jacksonville Jaguars star looked spectacular vs. the Atlanta Falcons on Friday.
And while it was just the preseason and limited action, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky believes that level of play could help the Jaguars win the division.
But more than that, he believes that Lawrence could be a legitimate MVP candidate.

Notably, those were the expectations last season.
He had looked very good in the first year under Doug Pederson, and the Jaguars looked poised to repeat as AFC South Division champions.
That wasn’t the case, and while he was banged up later in the season, his subpar play was also a big reason why they weren’t able to do so.
Lawrence was — literally — perfect in his first of two drives vs. the Falcons.
He finished the game with eight completions on ten throws for 92 yards, leading his team to touchdowns in both drives.
Granted, it’s just the preseason, but it’s still nice to see him healthy, poised, and in control.
Lawrence just got a five-year, $275 million contract extension this summer, and expectations will now be significantly higher for him.
It won’t be easy, especially with CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans also there and the entire AFC South is looking sharper than ever.
But Lawrence’s talents have never been in doubt, and if he finally hits his stride, he could be one of the five best quarterbacks in the game.
