The San Francisco 49ers continue to explore all avenues regarding Brandon Aiyuk.
They’ve reportedly made him a big-time offer, and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network believes they could get the deal done by tweaking some details of the final contract of that offer.
However, he also points out that the Pittsburgh Steelers are still trying to get him, and they’ve also made a big offer.
Rapoport recently reported that the fact that Aiyuk traveled with the team was a good sign of ‘minimum progress.’
Then again, he mentioned his status with the team is still pretty much up in the air.

Aiyuk has done everything in his power to force his way out of the Bay area from the very end of last season.
He’s exhausted all resources to make life as uncomfortable as possible for the Niners.
The Niners are finally considering the possibility of moving on from him and sending him somewhere else, but that’s only going to happen if they get some steep value in return.
Truth be told, they have no obligation or should be in no rush to get a deal done, as he’s still under contract and will have to suit up and play for them if he wants to collect his check.
Then again, it seems like they don’t want to keep dragging out this situation any further and would rather either get an extension done or not have a disgruntled wide receiver in the locker room being a distraction on their championship-aspiring road.
