The Miami Dolphins will have one of the most explosive offenses during the 2024 NFL season, though it might take some time to get there given all the injuries to their wide receiving corps.
Tyreek Hill has been limited in practice due to a wrist injury, while Jaylen Waddle is dealing with a soft tissue injury.
Both injuries aren’t considered to be serious and head coach Mike McDaniel previously announced he expects his two star receivers to be ready to go for the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
However, it’s the depth pieces that have been hit the hardest as players like Odell Beckham Jr. and River Cracraft are expected to miss the start of the season.
Unfortunately, it looks like another wideout has gone down to injury as Anthony Schwartz is expected to miss the year with a knee injury via Omar Kelly of The Miami Herald.
“Dolphins lose another WR to significant injury, Anthony Schwartz the latest to go down,” Kelly reported.

Anthony Schwartz the latest to go down

Schwartz suffered the injury in Miami’s preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a tough blow for the former third-round pick out of Auburn.
The veteran spent most of the 2023 season with the Dolphins’ practice squad and is now expected to either go on injured reserve or be waived with an injury settlement.
It was going to be an uphill climb for Schwartz to make the 53-man roster, but this also now puts his NFL career in jeopardy.
It’s always unfortunate to see players go down, though hopefully, Schwartz is able to make a full recovery.
