Even if the Washington Commanders fail to win a single game this season, 2024 will always be Zach Ertz’s favorite year.
The veteran tight end just went through something much bigger than football.
The Washington Commanders’ tight end and his wife, Julie, took to social media to announce the birth of their twin sons, Kyren and Kace (via Commanders).
Ertz fam just gained a couple new members!

This is some major motivation, with the season just two weeks away from now.
Ertz will spend his first season in the nation’s capital after spending the prior three campaigns with the Arizona Cardinals.
He’d be reunited with Kliff Kingsbury, who’s the Commanders’ offensive coordinator and was his coach in his first two years in Arizona.
The Commanders signed the 33-year-old to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, so it’s safe to say the little twins are already financially set.
Ertz played just seven games last season before a quad injury ended his campaign.
Still, he logged 187 receiving yards and a score.
He’s no longer the player he used to be when he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, but he’s still a major mismatch in the endzone with secure hands and a knack for overpowering defensive backs.
The Commanders hope that, now that he’s healthy, he can be one of Jayden Daniels’ favorite targets in the middle of the field.
Ertz is walking the final steps of his career as a professional football player, and now that he’s got these two little guys at home, he might have more than enough reason to make this a memorable campaign.
