The Washington Commanders made a rather unusual move.
Even if they had reasons to part ways with Jahan Dotson, sending him to a divisional rival wasn’t something you’d see every day.
Rarely do you see teams engage in trades with divisional rivals, as they will have to deal with those players twice a year at the very least.
Dotson, who was sent to the Philadelphia Eagles, admitted that he was surprised to hear about this move because he never thought they’d trade him there.
And while he admitted that it was all business and it’s just a part of the game, he might also hold some grudges.
Addressing the media, he stated that he would only take things personally when he saw the Commanders on the other side of the field (via B/R Gridiron).
“I’m not going to take it personal until I see Washington,” Dotson said.

Truth be told, it’s not like Dotson has put up crazy numbers in his career, and he won’t be a primary weapon in Philadelphia, so he might have a tough time putting his money where his mouth is.
Dyami Brown gained plenty of ground during training camp and the preseason, up to the point where Dan Quinn felt comfortable parting ways with the former first-round pick.
The Eagles had worked him out prior to the NFL Draft but were unable to get him, as the Commanders took him with the No. 16 selection.
Now, the Penn State product is heading back home, and judging by his latest statement, he’s going to be extremely motivated to prove his former team was wrong to give up on him.
