The Indianapolis Colts will be looking to take the next step in their rebuild during the 2024 NFL season as they’ve got some talented young pieces on both sides of the field itching to make names for themselves.
All eyes will be on quarterback Anthony Richardson who was forced to miss most of his rookie season due to injury.
However, he’ll also have pieces like Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs and Adonai Mitchell in the passing game to support him.
Defensively, the Colts have got a solid young core though there’s always room for improvement particularly in their secondary.
Safeties Nick Cross and Julian Blackmon are listed as the starters so far, though the depth behind them could be better.
With roster cuts across the league happening, though, Indianapolis will need to find safety help elsewhere after they announced they waived Ronnie Harrison Jr. via Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
“The #Colts also released veteran safety Ronnie Harrison Jr,” Pelissero reported.

Harrison is a former third-round pick who signed with Indianapolis last year and was placed on their practice squad after being waived.
He was then called up to the game-day roster toward the end of the 2023 NFL season, though now finds himself back on waivers.
The veteran could very well end up re-signing with the team onto their practice squad as he is already familiar with the system.
These sorts of cuts are expected at this point of the summer as teams begin to finalize their 53-man rosters that they’ll take into the 2024 NFL season.
