The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up for an important 2024 NFL season as they reloaded the roster in the offseason.
The Ravens have all the tools necessary to compete in a stacked AFC as they’ve got reigning MVP Lamar Jackson under center while the defense remains elite in all areas of the field.
However, one of the best parts about the Baltimore offense is its offensive line play as the unit’s done well in years past of run blocking and pass protecting.
A lot of the credit should go to offensive line coach Joe D’Alessandris who has been with the organization since the 2017 NFL season.
D’Alessandris has been a fixture on head coach John Harbaugh’s staff in Baltimore and is well-regarded amongst the players and his peers.
Unfortunately, D’Alessandris passed away at the age of 70 and the franchise paid its respects to the long-time offensive line coach via the Ravens’ official Twitter account.

D’Alessandris had been away for the team as he received treatment for the illness, and Harbaugh previously announced that he had undergone surgery earlier in the summer that caused the sickness.
This is a huge blow for the Ravens and the fanbase as D’Alessandris was a key figure on the staff though the team did hire George Warhop earlier this summer to fill in for him.
It’s a sad day for the Baltimore organization but more importantly it’s a big loss for D’Alessandris’s loved ones.
