A lot was said of Kobe Bryant during his NBA career.

He was deemed a bad teammate or a tough person to be around by some players.

But those who got to know him could attest to that being false.

Bryant respected those who he thought were worthy of his respect, meaning those who were willing to work as hard as he worked.

However, towards the end of his career, the legendary shooting guard finally took his guard down a bit and showed a different, warmer side of himself to the rest of the world.

With that in mind, former guard Lou Williams revealed his favorite memory with No. 24.

Talking to Paul George for his podcast, Williams talked about Kobe’s final game, that 60-point farewell vs. the Utah Jazz (via ClutchPoints).

“He was so gracious with everybody… It was literally stacked to the ceiling … he sat there gracefully and signed every single piece of everything for everybody.”

Williams talked about how graceful and happy Kobe was.

He signed every single piece of memorabilia and item everybody gave him, and he was just oozing joy.

Williams added that he was glad that moment was his final memory of him.

Bryant left us all too soon, but his legacy — not only in basketball but in sports as a whole — will stand forever.

He was the most inspirational athlete of his generation, someone who failed, picked himself back up, and got stronger and better every single day.

And while some might not agree with his ways or his style of leadership, few could argue that his maniacal-like determination and work ethic didn’t work out just perfectly for him and everybody around him.
