The NBA has a unique dynamic when it comes to the fans and debating.

Unlike what happens with the NFL, MLB, soccer, or other sports, there are no clear criteria to determine the NBA’s GOAT.

Most people still agree that Michael Jordan is the greatest to ever do it, but younger fans tend to lean towards LeBron James.

Kobe Bryant’s name is also mentioned often, but to a lesser degree.

With that in mind, Las Vegas Raiders star DE Maxx Crosby sat down with Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem for their The OGs Show, debating several issues.

Needless to say, he had to touch base on that subject, and he claimed that he would rather have Jordan or Bryant over James (Via NBA Central).

Maxx Crosby says he’s taking Kobe over LeBron

“It really comes down to it, like in my opinion, you got Game 7 on the line. I am taking MJ, I am taking Kobe, if I want to win a title. That’s just my opinion.”

While Crosby acknowledged James’ greatness and stated that he is definitely a top-three player of all time, he’d still take Jordan or Bryant in a winner-takes-all situation, such as Game 7.

That’s fair.

James has been wrongfully labeled as a choker or a non-clutch player, even though he’s risen up to the occasion in key moments dozens of times in his career.

However, he’d never be considered to be the assassin that Bryant or Jordan were, and that’s fine.

You knew Bryant and Jordan would most likely never pass the ball in a key moment — although they did — whereas, with James, you know he’s always looking to make the right play, even if that means not taking the shot himself.

Whatever the case, you couldn’t go wrong either way here.
