It seems as though the Dallas Cowboys franchise still hasn’t fully recovered from being embarrassed by Jordan Love and the upstart Green Bay Packers in the first round of the NFL playoffs on their home field of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Not only did the Cowboys brass do virtually nothing to improve their team during the NFL offseason, but they have also failed to secure the long-term future of two of their best players, with the team seemingly putting off getting a contract extension done with star quarterback Dak Prescott and being unable to see eye-to-eye with superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb on a new deal.

Although not getting something done with Prescott might not be all that surprising considering his age (31) and the fact he might not be the right quarterback to lead the moving forward, not getting a deal done with one of the elite receivers in the game is perplexing, to say the least.

Things seem to have gotten so bad with these contract talks with Lamb that no one knows precisely what’s going on, which is concerning with the start of the season right around the corner.

However, Lamb is keeping himself busy and letting everyone know it, as he recently made a telling post on his Instagram account.

“I’m working hard so my family can chill, I came out that part, where they don’t let you live,” Lamb wrote on Instagram. “Give it my heart, cause it gave me sum real. Still keep it Trimm.”

At this point in time, there doesn’t seem to be a resolution in sight, but the pressure is on with the matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 set to take place on September 8.

The Cowboys will likely try to get something done because it won’t be a good look if they head into the season without taking care of Lamb.
