As for Aaron Gordon, he’ll be playing for something much bigger than basketball.
As reported by Etienne Catalan on Twitter, the former lottery pick is changing his jersey number from No. 50 to No. 32.

Apparently, he’ll do so to honor his late brother, Drew Gordon, who used to wear No. 32.
Notably, this will be Gordon’s third jersey number, as he wore No. 0 when he started his career with the Orlando Magic.
Gordon passed away earlier in the year at just 33 years old.
He was reportedly a victim of a car accident.
Drew Gordon had a brief stint in the NBA, making nine appearances for the Philadelphia 76ers back in the 2014-15 season and averaging 1.9 points and 2.0 rebounds.
He spent most of his career playing in Europe, but he also spent time in the G-League.
As for Aaron, he won an NBA championship just a couple of seasons ago, and he’s become the Nuggets’ glue-guy on both ends of the floor.
His bursts of energy are crucial to Mike Malone’s team, and he’ll now have the ultimate motivation to be at his best every single time he sets foot on the court.
