We’re still some hours away from the NFL’s deadline to trim the roster to just 53 men.
However, the Pittsburgh Steelers are already making moves for that.
The team recently announced eight cuts.
On the offensive side of the ball, OL Tyler Beach, WR Jacob Copeland, OL Devery Hamilton, RB Daijun Edwards, and WR T.J. Luther were all shown the door.
When it comes to defense, DL Marquiss Spencer, LB Kyahva Tezino, and DB Kiondre Thomas will also be on their way out.

The Steelers know there’s just too much at stake this time around.
The team didn’t look good at all on offense during the preseason, and some believe they will end at the bottom of the AFC North Division because of that.
Mike Tomlin has never gone under .500 in a season since he took the reins of the team almost two decades ago, but that’s not going to be enough anymore.
While the organization has doubled down on their commitment to him, we might be reaching a breaking point, and they could and should explore all their options if the team doesn’t show signs of improvement in 2024.
Of course, their defense will continue to be one of the best in the game, and that will always give them a chance to compete.
But with their offensive line struggling mightily and both of their potential quarterbacks also failing to demonstrate why they should be the starter, things aren’t looking very encouraging in Pittsburgh with the start of the season just two weeks away.
