The NFL Draft has started to move locations in recent years.

After years of staying put, the league has decided to move it around every year, giving teams across the league a chance to host this monumental event.

It is an opportunity for cities to experience economic growth, as people come from across the world to attend this event.

The draft was in Detroit last year and is slated to be in Green Bay in 2025.

While future sites are unclear beyond the 2026 draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Josh Harris, owner of the Washington Commanders, believes they could be up for hosting soon.

As reported by Ben Standig on Twitter, Harris indicated that a Washington D.C. draft “will happen eventually.”

Josh Harris believes the NFL Draft coming to D.C. “will happen” eventually. Sounds like the organization and NFL have gone down that road a bit. Nothing set. Mentioned the cool factor of hosting on the National Mall. pic.twitter.com/bv3ZSpF0cg

There are a lot of details to be worked out for a potential draft in Washington D.C., but it could end up being a fantastic location.

Washington D.C. is home to several iconic places, one of the most historic cities in the United States.

If the draft were held near the Washington Monument, for example, it could draw a massive crowd given the area and space surrounding the monument.

Of course, this is just a hypothetical location, but it could make an upcoming draft even more interesting, giving fans that much more reason to go to Washington D.C.

The Commanders have been one of the most talked about teams heading into the 2024 season.

Jayden Daniels has given them life and excitement, which will hopefully turn into tangible results moving forward.
