Defense is a lost art in today’s NBA.
Not so long ago, players took pride in not only putting up points on the scoreboard but also preventing other players from doing so.
That makes you wonder how some of the greatest scorers of all time would play in today’s NBA.
That includes Tracy McGrady, an offensive juggernaut who could only be stopped by injuries and the first round of the playoffs.
With that in mind, the legendary scorer shared his picks for the five greatest scorers of all time.

Unsurprisingly, he chose Michael Jordan, who still holds the record for the highest points-per-game average in NBA history.
Jordan didn’t even need to rely on the three-point shot to get past some of the most physical defenses of all time, but he could still knock them down.
Then, he chose Kobe Bryant, the closest thing we’ve ever seen to Jordan.
Kobe mastered every single shot Jordan had in his repertoire, also adding the three-pointer to his bag.
T-Mac later chose Carmelo Anthony, perhaps the most underrated player of his generation.
While he didn’t find much playoff success and was criticized for not passing, Anthony was a walking bucket from all three levels for his entire career.
As no surprise, McGrady later chose himself.
He was the only player who could go toe-to-toe with prime Kobe Bryant, scoring-wise, and it was sad to see how injuries took a toll on his game.
Last, but not least, he chose Kevin Durant, the ultimate cheat code.
Durant has the moves and shooting mechanics of a guard in a center’s body, and he’s maybe the most ethical scorer the game has ever seen.
