The Buffalo Bills have, undeniably, one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
However, given how things have fared over the past couple of years, most analysts no longer have Josh Allen as a leading MVP candidate or a top-tier quarterback.
Most agree that Patrick Mahomes is the best of the best, with Joe Burrow as a close second.
That’s why Stephen A. Smith believes no player is under more pressure to beat Mahomes in the playoffs than Josh Allen right now.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Smith pointed out some of Allen’s numbers, which include having the most touchdowns — rushing and passing — in a four-year span in NFL history.

He also talked about Allen being 3-1 against Mahomes in the regular season.
That’s precisely why he cannot understand how he’s managed to go 0-3 against him in the playoffs.
He’s also 0-1 against Burrow, so Smith believes he must beat them when it counts to be considered among the best, as he’s already proven that he can produce at a high level in the regular season.
That’s a valid point, but to be fair, Allen has put up some big numbers vs. the Chiefs in the playoffs as well.
He’s been on the losing end of some heartbreaking games, up to the point where the league even changed overtime rules to ensure both teams have at least one possession in the playoffs.
Smith has somewhat of a valid point, but context matters, and Allen is not the reason why the Bills have lost those games.
