The Dallas Cowboys finally got one of their issues out of the way.
They wound up paying CeeDee Lamb exactly what he wanted..
They could’ve gotten this out of the way months ago.
Instead, they infuriated their best offensive player, and he missed the entirety of training camp and the preseason as a result.
But now that they’ve finally gotten that off their to-do list, they can focus on their other contract dispute.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys could still look to lock up Dak Prescott for the future.

Prescott is expected to be vastly overpaid next season, whether it’s by the Cowboys or someone else.
On paper, he’s not the kind of player a team should be giving north of $60 million per year to, not after winning two playoff games in eight seasons as a starter.
But given his contract situation and the way the market has been overblown, he’s in line to fetch that kind of money.
The Cowboys don’t seem interested in paying him that much money; otherwise they would’ve done it already.
But with the odd way they have of doing business and how they always drag these talks out, anything could happen.
