The 2023 Cleveland Browns needed to dig deep into the quarterback market just to get through the season.
They started four different quarterbacks, including fifth-round rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, former XFL player PJ Walker, and Joe Flacco.
However, they’re comfortable rolling with just three quarterbacks on their roster this time around.
With that in mind, they might look to trade one of their veterans.
According to a report by Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the team is fielding calls for both Jameis Winston and Tyler Huntley and could move one of them.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson was informed that he would make the roster, and given how high the team was on him dating back to last season, that’s not much of a surprise.
Huntley is a proven veteran as a practice squad player, given his mobility and ability to extend plays with his legs.
As for Winston, watching him on the trade block is somewhat surprising, given that he’s perhaps the best backup they have at the moment.
Kevin Stefanski and his coaching staff might feel comfortable with Thompson-Robinson as the second stringer if they’re even considering trading the former No. 1 pick.
Both Winston and Huntley could be excellent pickups for teams looking for a backup, but the Browns might not have a lot of leverage in this situation, as they could also be claimed off waivers.
Whatever the case, it seems like there’s no Plan B for the Browns this time around, and they will desperately need Deshaun Watson to finally get it together and also stay healthy.
