Over the last few months, many NBA fans have talked about Jayson Tatum and his impact on the Boston Celtics.
One of the fans who has watched Tatum closely is none other than Hollywood superstar Adam Sandler.
While appearing on “The Bill Simmons Show,” per Daniel Donabedian, Sandler showed his vast respect for Tatum and even talked about his lack of scoring recently.
New England native Adam Sandler showed Jayson Tatum and the Celtics plenty of love on “The Bill Simmons Podcast.”
“He loved [JB] scoring. The reason his buddy was scoring a lot was because everybody was afraid of Tatum … [He’s] one of the coolest, greatest dudes.” pic.twitter.com/GQMDYNivDT

Tatum’s performance in the postseason and the Olympics has received a lot of attention, and not all of it has been great.
Some people have been disappointed to see him scoring less than usual, while Jaylen Brown has earned a bigger role on the team.
Brown was also named Eastern Conference Finals MVP and Finals MVP after the Celtics’ latest championship win.
Sandler suggested that Brown did so well in the playoffs because Tatum was feared by his opponents.
There may be some truth to that because Tatum has become more versatile over the last few years.
Some people were shocked to see Tatum score less and Brown achieve more for the Celtics but Sandler believes it’s all for the greater good and part of Boston’s plans.
Beyond his work on the court, Sandler feels that Tatum is a good and genuine person.
Sandler’s allegiance hasn’t ever been to one NBA team, although he has repeatedly appeared at Los Angeles Lakers games.
Instead, he is a diehard basketball fan who loves any team that will give him a good time.
