Every year, the HBO series “Hard Knocks” follows one NFL team as it makes its way through training camp with features on numerous players.
This year, the team highlighted is the Chicago Bears, who have a tantalizing collection of talented and skilled players and could end up claiming a playoff spot.
When the Kansas City Chiefs took on Chicago in preseason action, tight end Travis Kelce let Bears head coach Matt Eberflus know that he likes what he has seen from his team on “Hard Knocks.”
“Everything on ‘Hard Knocks’ is fun as [heck],” Kelce said, via the NFL on X.

There are two more episodes to go before this year’s edition wraps up in advance of the start of the regular season.
For decades, the Bears have been laughingstocks, save for a Super Bowl appearance during the 2006 season, but happy days could be here again for their long-suffering fans.
Quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is thought to have superstar potential, and they have three gifted wide receivers in D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen and rookie Rome Odunze.
If Williams proves to be any good out of the gate, the Bears could become this season’s Houston Texans: a team that coalesces faster than some expect and surprisingly makes the playoffs.
On the other hand, the Bears do play in the tough NFC North and in a difficult conference that has gotten somewhat better, so they will have to overcome teams such as the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys in order to earn a wild-card postseason berth.
