The Chicago Bears hope they’ve gotten a generational player in Caleb Williams.
Williams is in line to be their very first elite quarterback in franchise history, which is a crazy statement if you consider the fact of how long they have been around.
For years, he’s been drawing comparisons to Patrick Mahomes, and scouts and analysts believe he has the potential to be the best quarterback in the game at some point.
However, former NFL player Manti Te’o has a different comparison for him.
Talking on the NFL Network, Te’o stated that after watching him on HBO’s Hard Knocks and watching how he had his mouthpiece to the side of his mind, he realized that he’s actually more similar to Stephen Curry (via Six Point Sports).

Truth be told, there are some similarities to Mahomes, especially when he rolls out of the pocket and makes those wild throws across his body.
Nevertheless, they’re both two different players.
As for Curry, perhaps one could see the similarities.
Curry changed the game with his long-range shooting, becoming the most influential player of his generation.
He has a knack for rising to the occasion and sending his opponents home, thus being called the baby-faced assassin.
They both also seem to be unbothered by all the outside noise and scrutiny.
Now, whether Williams will have the same impact in his sport as Curry had in basketball remains to be seen.
