The Dallas Cowboys just made a massive move by extending All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to a four-year deal worth $136 million.

Lamb is now the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in the history of the NFL.

Now, members of the media, such as former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, believe Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott could be next up for Dallas in terms of getting a long-term extension done.

“(Dak Prescott) will let Jerry (Jones) know when he is ready to go ahead and sign a contract extension…If this man gets to the free market, the price is going up,” Riddick recently said on Get Up.

Is it now or never for the Cowboys to extend Dak Prescott?

After a fantastic season last year that saw Prescott lead the NFL in touchdown passes (36) and completions (410), he is looking to cash in with a big extension.

However, as Riddick states, the longer this situation takes, the more the price is going to go up.

If GM Jerry Jones and the Dallas front office cannot get Prescott his extension this offseason, it could be hard to see Prescott come back if he has a great season, especially if other teams are interested in his services once he becomes a free agent after this season.

Despite not having the best track record in the playoffs, Prescott is an above-average quarterback who can win plenty of games under center if the team around him is ready to go.

Time will tell whether or not Dallas is willing to pay up for their franchise quarterback before the season starts in just over a week.
