Every year, ESPN conducts a series of anonymous polls to gauge player sentiment throughout the league on a variety of topics concerning their peers, with the most recent poll featuring plenty of questions about the league’s best quarterbacks.
One question in the poll asked which quarterback in the league is the most overrated, and Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen took the narrow victory with 11 votes out of the 103 players polled, with Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins tied for second with ten votes each.
Allen clearly isn’t too upset about the poll, as he recently took to X to say, “So you’re telling me, I was voted as the #1…best trash talker? Let’s go!”

Justin Herbert received nine votes and was followed by Trevor Lawrence with eight, Deshaun Watson with seven, and Kyler Murray and Brock Purdy tied with six.
One NFC West player said he voted for Allen because of “too many turnovers” which is a stat he leads the league in since 2018 with 102.
One NFC East player when asked about Jalen Hurts said, “How hard is it to throw jump balls to A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith? And their tight end is really good.”
It’s good to see Allen is taking this in stride, as he barely won anyway and every quarterback that got a lot of votes has had plenty of success in the league.
Allen is heading into this season with a new wide receiver corps, so it will be interesting to see how he adapts.
This poll just added another chip on his shoulder.
