The Los Angeles Chargers are heading into a new era, parting ways with head coach Brandon Staley last season and hiring Jim Harbaugh as his successor.
With Harbaugh now calling the shots and bringing a new playing style and philosophy to Los Angeles, the Chargers will seem much different than they have in the past, as the former Michigan head coach has a method of his own, which tends to turn football teams into winners.
However, success likely won’t come overnight for the Chargers, as many changes need to be made to get the franchise back on track as one of the best in the AFC, which means a lot of players will be coming and going for Harbaugh to put together his winning formula.
With all 32 NFL teams making moves this week to reduce their squads to 53 players, the Chargers have been as active as any in their attempt to find the right mix heading into Week 1.
Los Angeles’ most recent move has the team claiming former Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins, who played for Harbaugh at Michigan, off of waivers, via Adam Schefter of ESPN.

With Austin Ekeler leaving the Chargers as a free agent after the 2023 campaign, the L.A. running back room will look a lot different, with Gus Edwards expected to be the starter and J.K. Dobbins as his backup.
It remains to be seen where Haskins fits in the picture, but he has a relationship with Harbaugh, which might give him a good opportunity to get on the field at some point this season.
