The Los Angeles Dodgers have been treated to a historic season from superstar Shohei Ohtani, who recently became the fastest player to reach 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a season in the first year of his record $700 million contract.
Dodgers fans have taken to their new superstar quite fondly, and Ohtani recently caused quite the stir when the team announced his second bobblehead night.
With a game against the Baltimore Orioles marking the night of the promotion, Dodger Stadium host Elisa Hernandez shared a photo of fans lined up to get into the venue at 11 a.m., more than eight hours before the 7:10 p.m. local start time.

The first 40,000 fans who make it through the door will get the Ohtani bobblehead, so getting there eight hours early might be a bit excessive, though you can’t knock them for showing love for their new star.
The bobblehead comes in two colorways, with one a traditionally colored bobblehead and another being entirely gold-plated.
Ohtani’s first bobblehead night in May featured a more typical statuette that also caused an incredible amount of traffic to the stadium.
The best part of this bobblehead is that it features Ohtani holding his beloved dog, Decoy, who will be a little bobblehead of his own.
The collectible probably will be worth a bit of money due to the novelty of the item, and the gold bobbleheads with Ohtani holding Decoy can probably be flipped for a pretty penny.
Hopefully, there aren’t a bunch of these on eBay in the days ahead.
