The Washington Commanders have been one of the worst teams in the NFL for some time, as there wasn’t really anything to get excited about during the reign of former owner Daniel Snyder.
Fortunately for the storied franchise, Josh Harris and his ownership group are determined to right the ship in Washington and have been doing many things behind the scenes to fix what Snyder left behind, which has been a tall task, to say the least.
Along with trying to improve the fan experience during games, Harris and company aggressively made moves during the offseason to give the team a chance to take a giant leap forward rather than two steps back in the 2024 NFL campaign.
Perhaps the most significant move was selecting Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Along with winning the starting job for the Commanders, Daniels is quickly becoming one of the most popular young players in the league before ever taking a regular-season snap, as he’s already appearing in a commercial with fellow Heisman Trophy winners Robert Griffin III and Reggie Bush, via Brandon of ML Football.

Although there were some questions about whether Daniels would be a star in the NFL, with a style of play that tends to put him in harm’s way, the former LSU superstar put many of those concerns to rest during the preseason.
However, he has yet to play a down that counts in the NFL, so he still has a lot to prove moving forward.
