In recent years, the NFL has made an effort to spread the game of football to other countries, and perhaps the sport is making some inroads in certain countries.
This season, the Philadelphia Eagles will begin their schedule by heading to Brazil to face the Green Bay Packers in the league’s first-ever game in South America.
Star wide receiver DeVonta Smith was mum on his feelings about playing in Brazil, per The Sporting News.
“No comment,” Smith said when asked his thoughts on playing in Brazil.

This season, there will be five NFL regular season games in foreign countries, starting with that Eagles-Packers contest and continuing with three games in London in October.
Those games in England will feature the New York Jets versus the Minnesota Timberwolves in Week 5, the Jacksonville Jaguars versus the Chicago Bears in Week 6 and the Jaguars against the New England Patriots in Week 7.
Then in Week 10, the New York Giants will take on the Carolina Panthers in Germany.
The Eagles, who came into last season as the defending NFC champions, won 10 of their first 11 games and seemed to be cruising to another trip to the conference championship game, only to lose five of their last six regular season games.
In the wild-card round of the playoffs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers humbled them in a 21-point defeat.
This season, Philly has added star running back Saquon Barkley, emerging pass rusher Bryce Huff and rookie cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, and they could very well return to form.
