Week 1 of the college football season has finally arrived, and the most notable change in the NCAA this year is the implementation of a 12-team playoff to determine the national champion.
Former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel knows a thing or two about putting up numbers on Saturdays, and he recently revealed who he believes will be the teams to make the playoff.
Manziel recently made an appearance for Action Network’s Big Bets On Campus channel and shared his full 12-team bracket, and he has Georgia taking the top seed and winning the National Championship over Oregon after being joined in the playoff by Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Texas, Liberty, Texas A&M, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Miami, and Utah.

Even just seeing a bracket on paper is enough to get you excited as a fan, as regardless of who makes the playoff, we are all in for a treat with so many unique and incredible matchups taking place because of this new format.
It was nice to see Manziel throw A&M in there and give some love to his alma mater, but he has the 11th-seeded Aggies losing to Oregon in the first round before Oregon upsets Miami and Ohio State to reach the championship game.
This new format will bring chaos and hopefully a bit less controversy, unlike last year when undefeated Florida State missed out on the 4-team playoff.
Manziel has five SEC teams in his bracket, so perhaps he’s a little biased, but it’s anybody’s guess how this new playoff system will shake out.
